   The Iowa Truss Manufacturers Association and the Iowa Lumber Association held their annual lobby day early Wednesday morning.  It was an excellent event, with a steady flow of legislators.  We are all working on the same legislative priorities.
4th Annual Doug Mayo Memorial Golf Tourney Registration Now Open
Please join us for the 4th Annual Doug Mayo Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday June 30th, 2017. We will have a great day of golf to support the Home Builders Association of Iowa Educational Corporation and the proceeds will provide scholarships to students entering the building trades.
Our event sells out quickly and will feature a great day of golf along with many other activities. Sponsorship packages are available to provide you added recognition and business opportunities at the event. Weekly Update: April 21, 2016

   The Iowa Capitol will soon have empty halls as the legislative session draws to an end.  The per diem ran out April 19, they are hoping for an end tomorrow, but it realistically will be done early next week.
Our Newest NAHB Region C Field Rep
Ashley Wucher of Grand Rapids, Michigan will be joining Alex Martindale as another NAHB Region C field representative.  She replaces Michael Bezruki, who took another position within NAHB working on grassroots programming.
She comes from the National Association of Realtors, where she served as the government affairs specialist lobbying on behalf of the housing industry. She has additional policy experience from her time working in the Michigan House of Representatives. She earned a Master’s of Jurisprudence from Michigan State University College of Law and a bachelor’s in journalism from Baylor University. Ashley lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  We look forward to meeting her and having her join us at our Iowa events.
